Start with the same building.
Use a specific serial or stock number when requesting cash and rental quotes. Size, finish, options, condition, promotions, and the rental pricing basis can all change the numbers. Do not assume a cash discount automatically lowers rent-to-own payments.
Look beyond the payment.
Ask for the initial payment, deposit, term, taxes, fees, and the rental agreement. Multiply the quoted base rent by the number of months to see scheduled base rent for a full term, then account for other charges. This calculation is not an APR or a loan amortization schedule.
Use a real example.
The owner-supplied quote for our 8 × 12 Utility Xtra Height is $3,804.75 cash or $148.33 per month over 60 months, before applicable taxes and fees. Sixty base payments total $8,899.80. That total excludes other charges and may change if early purchase terms are exercised.
Read the ownership and exit terms.
Review when ownership transfers, what early purchase costs, what happens if a payment is late, and how cancellation or pickup works. The actual rental agreement controls. Ask the rental company named in the agreement about existing contracts.
Get the current quote.
Compare the full written quote with your budget and intended use. Our comparison page uses supplied building quotes, with no assumed interest rate or invented down payment. Confirm current pricing and all terms before committing.
